Welcome!
When a child is diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, it
touches off a wave of emotion that washes over the entire
family. There is
confusion and there is uncertainty; most of all, there is
fear – because no one really seems to know what the future
might bring.

Stacey
Omstead DiNiro understands all of that – and in her new,
self-illustrated book, Just sweet Enough, she does families
affected by childhood diabetes an enormous service.
Omstead DiNiro tells the story of young Rory Jameson,
who awakes one morning with a camel’s thirst.
He drinks all the milk in the fridge, then he drinks
all the juice – and then, he nearly drains the tap of all
its water. And then,
after all that, he has to run to the bathroom.
